Bye, Bye Fly-A-Ways

I've been asked quite a bit about editing.
I FINALLY got recorded it while doing a quick edit on this beauty.

So here's the thing, she doesn't need touch-ups. When I'm giving a client their final images I want to make sure that they are happy with them so we discuss what they'll be used for, how much editing they'd like and I make the judgements off that discussion. Overall, the majority of my edits are fairly natural.

Each person is beautiful in their own way and I think it is important to remember that about ourselves when looking at our images.

It is easy for me to look at an image of myself and be very critical, but sessions are about remembering that season of life and being able to look back and remember the best times.

Kalie is a dancer and looks forward to a future in the dance community. These images are for her to share as headshots for everything from auditions to when she's teaching a class so the hair that stands out against the background and a few blemishes on her face are important for me to touch up. I also whitened her eyes just a hint and enchanted the beautiful blue of her eyes. I left the webbing of her hair on her should because it adds to the feel of the image in my opinion giving some personality to her portrait beyond her eyes and expression.

They are somewhat subtle changes but makes an impact on the overall polished look of the image.
